Pathbreaking.  Empowering.  Connecting.

Israel Children and Youth Foundation

in 1998, the situation analysis of Children and Youth in Israel showed that most funding for disadvantaged Israeli children came from outside of Israel, was targeted at small subgroups, and had little involvement of business people. In 1998, responding to those needs, Patricia led the team that launched the pathbreaking Israel Children and Youth Foundation, based in Tel Aviv.  The Foundation’s mission is to cultivate philanthropy for children within the country, through the leadership of  a new board made up of the most successful business people under the age of 50 in Israel.

Patricia led the teams that created the business plan, and oversaw board development. strategic, grant making and fundraising planning, staffing, and program design.  She also managed the general operating grants made by the International Youth Foundation to the Israel Children and Youth Foundation during the first 3 years.

Through the support of the Arison Family Foundation, the foundation merged with the United Way of Israel to form Matan-Your Way to Give in 2001, which today serves thousands of disadvantaged Israeli youth through employee giving and volunteering at more than 70 companies inside Israel.
